Iowa:

Obama 43%
Romney 40%

Obama 46%
Perry 37%

New Hampshire:

Romney 49%
Obama 40%

Obama 46%
Perry 40%

Romney must be loving his NH numbers... not really too bad for Obama otherwise.

New Hampshire increasingly looks like a problem for Obama.

He currently has a 38-53 approval there right now, according to the poll.

I see NH going for Romney with Iowa being a lean Romney.

New Hampshire is the only northeastern state that Al Gore lost in 2000.

Mitt Romney now lives there, so maybe there is some Favorite Son effect. Most the population  of New Hampshire is within the Boston TV market, and there may be some nostalgia for better times that are associated with Romney in Massachusetts.

President Obama might give up on New Hampshire and put efforts into Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia -- maybe even Arizona, Georgia, and Missouri instead.

NH going for Romney -- so far, likely.

IA  going for Romney -- you must see something that I don't see. Maybe because it doesn't exist yet.

If the President has such poor approval ratings and he is still ahead of Romney, then there must be something wrong with the candidate or his message. It is becoming too late for anyone to enter or re-enter the Presidential race.

NH seems to be trending towards Romney. I'm not surprised by Obama's lead in Iowa, as I expect the state to go for him in 2012, but the President's lead there has definitely decreased in the past few months.

Well if Romney is the candidate, Obama can easily cede NH while maintaining CO, NM, NV, VA, IA to win. Though Romney does not have NH in the bag. There are a huge amount of flip-flop commercials that could be run to destroy him among both conservatives and moderates.
