As a side question, how unreformed are the Commies? Do they have much of a platform or is it only their name which attracts support?

I had the impression its supporters are mainly elderly pensioners who long for the Good Old Days.

Judging by "official" turnout and ER results, it seems like Chechnya, Kabardino Balkaria, Karachay Cherkessia, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Chukotka, Tuva, Mordovia, Tyumen, and Yamalo Nenetsia are particularly rigged. It's obvious why results from Caucasus Republics and Chukotka are rigged, but what explains the funny results from other areas? Are their regional strongmen vying for Kremlin influence?

The map is actually kinda amusing, the strongest UR areas appear to be the ones that receive the most "pork."

Receive the most pork, or the local strongmen are sycophant to the Kremlin and need to show it?

Another question for the Russians here: how loyal are the Nashi/Putinjugend? Do they genuinely believe that Putin is awesome or do they enlist for privileges?

It will be grimly ironic if the Commies become at the vanguard of a revolution against cheating between factions of the bourgeoisie elite.

Not as ironic as Yours Truly seeing a hammer and sickle light up on the side of the Citi tower in Shanghai last summer.
