President Obama’s approval rating is steady in New York State.  44% of registered voters

believe he is doing an excellent job and 30% who say he is doing a good one.  More than
one in four -- 27% -- rate the president’s job performance as fair while 29% think he is
performing poorly.  Less than 1% is unsure.

Lol so ture.  Although I can't quite figure out why her generic reelect is generally so low for NYS Democrat, who hasn't had a scandal, is not particularly controversial, is likable (ok, that's probably my personal opinion influencing my perception Smiley ). I mean do people just really not know who she is, is it because she's not from NYC, what?

Any reason as to why New York is being polled so frequently?

Sure, it's a large electoral prize, but there's no doubt as to who's column it will fall.

I'd like to see some of the states in the interior west polled more often.  Too much emphasis seems to be placed on NY for it to be unattainable for the GOP.

There are a lot of people in NYC who don't think she's liberal enough, even though she's one of the most liberal members of the Senate (and certainly more genuinely liberal than Schumer, who is a creep). Mostly, this is a perceptual: She's from Upstate, must be conservative. Friendliness with Bloomberg doesn't really help the perception, either, since a lot of people weirdly think Bloomberg is really conservative, too.

Actually, she isn't any more, if she ever was (there was never any relevant legislation while she was in the House, I don't think). Example: http://albarchive.merlinone.net/mweb/wmsql.wm.request?oneimage&imageid=7544955
