Random Indiana facts few others probably care about...

Indianapolis incumbent Mayor Greg Ballard (R) won reelection tonight. He's currently around 51% of the vote.

In Terre Haute (this is where I campaigned today), Duke Bennett (R) was reelected Mayor, defeating his challenger 67-33%. Republicans also performed very strongly there downballot, and I believe we'll have the largest amount of city council seat we've had in years. Bennett has been a great mayor, so that's most of the reason he won, but I still think it's good for the GOP when we're winning a Terre Haute (a city that voted around 60% for Obama) with over two thirds of the vote.

Also...Republicans won the Mayor's race in Evansville - good news. For a lot of local elections, I will say, especially in these smaller communities around where I live, people often vote by the name, not the party I.D. For example, our new city clerk is technically a Democrat (for ballot purposes), but still won with 84% in a city that voted over 70% for McCain.

If there is a place in America that counts votes slower then Baltimore City, I'd like to know about it.
It took a nearby city 2 and a half hours to report all of their precincts...they have 2.

Well, thankfully the GOP was able to win Ag Commisioner, one of the most powerful positions in the state, responsible for millions of dollars.

What was the Ohio issue regarding the opt-out of Obamacare? I saw it passed, which is a surprise considering how tonight has gone.
