That thing of underperforming in SE KY seems to be just in Knott County; Floyd is looking fine for Beashear.

Beshear had over 80% in Floyd last time, for example, with a similar statewide %.

I don't know how much of a factor it was on any patterns or anything but, for the record, Beshear's running mate last time round was from Eastern Kentucky. This time round he's from Louisville.

Oh, and the Ohio thing is good, of course. I look forward to the map.

Harlan county Smiley

Anyways, I'm wondering if Beshear has maybe done something to irritate people in Knox county, as that pattern doens't really show up elsewhere. Odd.

Also, the VA DEMOCRAT HOUSE MINORITY LEADER was destroyed.

Yet, not a post mentioning it here... wonder why?

Sounds painful. Anyways, any details on that? Or on the VA House elections in general.

Here's the preliminary Ohio Issue 2 map. All but 15 counties are all the way in, but most of those 15 are mostly in. The only county I'd worry about maybe changing on this map is Delaware County. I'll update it if it does.

Fascinating, really fascinating. The general pattern seems to be more about class than partisan identity - or even historical partisan identity. Diolch!
