Is it sad I trust Russia more than our country?
Yes, quite.  Understandable though...sort of.  I mean, there is little reason to trust what western govts say when it comes to this sort of thing....but there seems to be even less reason to trust what Putin and his cronies say.

So, the big question for the west in the next 5 years is....do we side with the hardline Shia/Iranians/Assad/Hezzies or with the hardline Sunnies/Salafis/Wahabists or just let them kill each other (with tens of thousands of innocent Muslims killed in the "cross fire")?  Or is there (hopefully) some third option I'm not seeing.

I read elsewhere that the local UN suit told them to raise a white flag and the commander said he didn't have one.  Good luck to them.

edit-it's also apparently a veteran squad of dudes with a lot of experience fighting these exact kind of assholes.

After a 7 hr firefight, the Filipino peacekeepers walked 2 miles to safety.  The Fiji soldiers are still hostages.

Syria/Assad/his cronies is/are probably a lot more open to the idea now than they were a decade ago.

The Assad Army is still making a lot of progress and has almost reached the Israeli border fence today.

Plus: several hundreds of Syrian refugees wanted to pass into Israel (Golan).

But the Israeli soldiers didn't let them in ...

When one's employer puts him in a life-threatening situation, does he thank his employer for getting him out alive, or is it just expected?
so, what your saying, is that ISRAEL is at fault for the Syrian civil war going badly for the White Helmets?  Unless I greatly misunderstand you?  That seems to me what you're saying.....I'm confused though, because that is FUNKING STUPID!

Turkey has to pull back, right?  Do they really want to fight Sryia/Russia and the Kurds?  For what, some land that isn't theirs and never will be?

ISIS and Germany have a lot of the same goals and biases, so it's a natural fit.  Of course they'd rather have an ISIS member rather than some poor Yazidi teen girl that just wants to live in peace.

but RT?  Can we get a source that isn't horrible?

In preparation for an eventual joint Syrian/Iranian/Russian/Hezbollah assault on the large Kurdish pocket in the northeast, we should be arming the Kurds to the teeth (if we aren't already), particularly with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weaponry, and perhaps weaponized drones as well.  Along with equipment to withstand chemical/biological attacks.

I don’t think there’s any reason to believe the SAA is ever going to attack the Kurds. It makes far too much sense for both sides to cooperate.

It doesn't hurt to have contingency plans in case that dynamic changes.  And a well-armed Kurdish Syria would add an extra reason for the SAA and its allies not to attack.

The Syrians supported Hezbollah, but that had nothing to do with Israel, but because Syria sought control over Lebanon, Hezbollah also care little about Israel outside the fact that their hostile relationship with Israel gives them a excuse to not demobilise.
you said some other crazy sh**t, but this is by the far the craziest.  Hezbollah had nothing to do with Israel?  Are you kidding?  Then, in the same funking sentence, you say "their hostile relationsip with Israel"?  What the hell man?  Which is it?  Does Hezbollah have a hostile relationship with Israel or do they have nothing to do with it?  It can't be both.

Obviously the answer is hostile.  link

That's pretty much the problem with you entire perspective in the Middle East, it build on the fact that you're obsessed with Israel, and think the entire world orbit the things you obsess over, and you fail to see why the different actors acts as they do.
k.  I admit I have biases.  I'm a big boy.

indeed.  These are bad people, using terrorism both real and threatened, as an excuse to hold political control over people that don't want them there.
