It's become abundantly obvious after this latest series of events that he has pretty serious mental issues that need psychiatric treatment.

I'm quite sure every 'Opinion of BushOklahoma' poll-thread has this exact same post in it.

It's too bad he locked the thread now, though.  I think jmfcst joining the show was probably our best chance to have our general advice heard.

He'll either unlock it again or create some equivalent update. He won't be able to resist for long.

Sorry, I didn't provide an update last night, I felt absolutely awful all evening.

I'm still not feeling too well and I'm calling the doctor at 8:00 this morning to see if I can get something for this nausea and vomiting and cramps that I've been having.  I have a feeling the mosquito bites are starting to catch up with me in the form of malaria.  I've got an appointment to get tested for malaria next Monday, 16 April at 13:30, but if I can get into my regular doctor today, I will get tested today and will be able to cancel Monday's appointment.  If I can't get into my regular doctor today, I will go to the Urgent Care this morning about 09:30 or 10:00 and get something to treat whatever I've got and still go to my regular doctor on Monday.

My supervisor has told me not to come back to work until I have a note from the doctor saying I am healthy enough to return to work.  She mentioned to me yesterday that I may end up having to go to the Emergency Room.  It got close to that level last night, but thankfully, I didn't have to go and I was able to go to sleep at 21:00 and slept for nearly 9 hours without having to get up once.

I won't get too graphic about what I've experienced the past 5 days, but just know it hasn't been good.

I don't think it is Malaria, but I am going to get tested anyway since I got several dozen mosquito bites in Kenya.  I took Malaria medicine while I was down there and when I got home, but I still would rather be safe than sorry.

My brother seems to think I got a little food poisoning, maybe salmonella or ecoli.

I'm going to the doctor at 11:00 am today to find out what this is, and more importantly, how to get rid of it.

Your brother's thought seems reasonable.....get better.

If you've got the wrong strain of malaria you could be dead by next Monday, so it's probably advisable to make sure you get proper medical advice asap.

If it has lasted more than 24 hours, it isn't likely food poisoning. You should definitely see a doctor.

Well, I have had my share of food poisoning in the past. It usually takes about 24 hours to clear your body of the infection. I had chills, dizziness, a fever and of course vomiting. If you've had that for more than 24 hours and it didn't all happen at once, it probably isn't food poisoning.

Good luck.

I'm home from the doctor and he is not thinking malaria, though he did get some blood to make sure.  He is thinking more along the lines of a parasite.  He took some tests for parasites and I should have those results Thursday.  He told me to stay off work until Friday at the earliest pending the results of the parasite test.  He said he is glad I came in when I did, because now that it is going on 6 days that if I hadn't come in, it could have become real serious and I could have been in a lot more trouble.

I've been holding my own this afternoon.  I'm still feeling pretty puny, but I have felt a whole lot worse.  My diet has been reduced to peanut butter and jelly with bread or saltine crackers for the next several days.  It should help me lose weight, though, the real natural way. Tongue  It's not exactly the way I prefer, but beggars cannot be choosers, right?

Oddly enough, this possible parasite is doing nothing to discourage me from going back to Kenya next March or from moving there in 34 1/2 months.  My body will get used to living in Kenya and will develop some immunity.  It will probably be rough for a while, a few stomach bugs will come and go, but I will get used to it.

Of course it hasn't. But on a serious note, you wouldn't just drive to the doctors office in Kenya to figure out what was wrong with you. There are a lot of things you're taking for granted now.
