What is all that white northern stretch (pro-gay marriage) of the lakeside like?
Yuppies. Well-maintained old houses, new condos, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Historically Polish and Italian, but not any more. Also a set of neighborhood names weirdly similar to NYC (Upper East Side, Lower East Side, Murray Hill).
