Parties with more than 10 members have the option of joining an officially recognized caucus.   With this advantage going to the large parties, the challenge of small parties to survive is greater than ever.  I propose the Association of Small Parties to adapt to this new environment, to advocate the interests of small parties, and to promote networks of associations for shared interests within and between parties.  All members of small parties, independents, and members of large parties sharing this goal are encouraged to join in this endeavor.

In all honesty, you should probably just join one of the major parties to ensure the duel-dissolution passes! Then you might have lots of small parties!!! Wink

I think the SPA is unfortunately now under 10 members, so I'm in too.

Thank you all for joining. We have something urgent to discuss:

The Amendment to the Caucus Infrastructure and Formation Act being voted on in the Senate would make all inter-party caucuses illegal!  We must do all we can to oppose this bill.  If it passes, we should consider going to Court to protect our freedom of association.

I tried, but to no avail.  Sad

The people above us have a point.  Unfortunately, the RPP does not have to hold a convention until January, by which time this issue could be a dead one.  My personal opinion is that we should first try to use the petition bill that is being voted on (or will be voted on soon) to rectify this.  And if that fails, then we can try party blitzing at the January conventions.

It's an interesting result of the Caucus Infrastructure Act that the enthusiasm associated with joining a new caucus has come at the expense of enthusiasm for third parties. Since the implementation of the Act, the NCP has lost half its members (including its founder), the SPA has lost one and the UDL has lost major party status.
