I probably would've liked him better then than I would now. Put him as HP, because he had economic policies that lead to worker exploitation and strikes as a result, not to mention that Michigan had an almost  45% unemployment rate. However in the 1880s & '90s, we didn't have the social welfare programs we had today and as a federalist, I likely would've been weary about expanding government power, so I probably would've voted for him regardless.
