Next week I will remove the month old Bachmann and Perry polls as well and because PPP polls VA and NM anyway Gingrich will likely get 2 extra states:

Don't worry Mittens, you're still leading in Utah probably!

I can't really see many more states where Romney leads Newt. Maybe Delaware and Maine.

Cain was leading in Maine, and insanity (O'Donnell) bested moderation in Delaware... So, I'm not sure.

Is it just me, or is this map somewhat reminiscent of Obama v. Clinton?

Roll Eyes

There's still a lot of campaigning to do. Didn't polls have Cain leading just a month ago?

I would want a second poll to confirm this but if this is true then my alter ego will go slit his wrists.

In Michigan?  None that I recall.

Nationwide he was. My point is, like it has been said time and time again, the only "poll" that matters is the primary/caucus results. The race has been so fluid that I wouldn't take a poll to seriously until about a week or two before that state votes. Remember back in August when Perry had a commanding lead in South Carolina? He's down in the low, single-digits right now.

Though Gingrich probably won't have quite as drastic as a drop, there's still a good chance he'll at least drop low enough that Romney will have a shot - Romney has a huge cash/organization/endorsement advantage. This race is far from over.

mmm, I do see it. Especially if some NE states swing to Gingrich closely like DE and CT and then Romney wins MO because Gingrich isn't on the ballot.

I'm sure this poll is within the margin of error, and is only one poll. Still, many in the Romney camp are probably sitting uneasy right now.

Right, because the point isn't whether Romney might loose Michigan (under current circumstances, still very unlikely). The point is that it shouldn't be close.
