Welcome to the Liberals. Once you've registered I do believe this officially makes us the largest caucus in Atlasia, with twelve members. Grin

Does Polnut know one must be in the JCP to be a member, per the caucus legislation?

So glad that silly restriction continues to be a problem.

It's not silly. Having two sets of parties at the same time would be silly. But we can get rid of (or suspend) caucuses if/when the duel-dissolution goes through.

Well in that case, I apologise and will therefore rescind my intention.

Sad

Oh well, hopefully dissolution passes and this won't be an issue for much longer.

I don't know. He made it sound like Napoleon was why he left the JCP, but apparently he doesn't have a problem joining the same caucus as Napoleon.

Lol - I gave the reason for my leaving the JCP and while Napoleon certainly frustrated me during my presidency, it wasn't why I left the JCP, lol ... oh Bgwah.

I said I wanted to withdraw from party politics for a time, and I haven't decided whether or not to return to one - I had hoped that the caucus concept would allow a more focused connection based on values and beliefs... because I don't think the current parties give that opportunity

Then quit being stubborn, join the JCP, and vote for the dissolution. Tongue

Bump.

Is it possible we could convert this caucus into a party after the JCP dissolves?

Unless I'm much mistaken, a party's caucuses automatically become fully-fledged parties when their parent party dissolves.

So, yes. Tongue

This seems like a party I'd join, but I'm concerned it'll just become an extension of the JCP.  I guess we'll see over the next week or so.

Ladies and Gentelmen!
I propose a merger of Liberal and National Centrist Party into one so we can became a powerful moderate party that would seek independent and common-sense based solutions for the people of Atlasia.

I've talked to Teddy too, who concurs.

Since we're both fairly small parties, I don't think any formal merger is necessary - just announce it and try to get your members to change their registration to the Liberal Party. Tongue

We can achieve that through caucuses if need be, surely? Or an informal tag noted in the membership list in the first post of this thread, if that will do?

I will join without condition, but I will beg of you, with everything I have, please please use the colour Blue. That was the whole impetus behind creating the NCP, and if I can only bring one thing over with me, that is what I want it to be.

Also, do we have a chair and vice chair? I was planning to run for vice chair of the NCP, but I could do so here Tongue
