"I do support the actions of President Obama on the economy regarding the bailout.  It is the right thing to do and if we want to get out of this slump he's the one to do it."
"Before we go, I have to ask you one more question."
"Lay it on me, brother," the former president said with a chuckle.
"Many were surprised by your decision not to run in 2008.  Why didn't you throw your hat into the ring?"
After a long pause, he answers, "Because I felt it was time for a change, time for new leadership, and time for a fresh face with bold new ideas.  I supported my wife aggressively as the person to bring that change to America, but I supported then-Senator Obama.  But since she accepted the job at the state department, she has realized that she is through with politics."
"Sorry?"  The legendary media titan was visibly stunned.  "You're saying she's retiring from politics?"
"Well, my wife has given me permission to tell you that she will not accept a second term as Secretary of State, and she certainly won't run for president in 2012.  It's very unlikely she will run for office again."
"Well, what about you, Mr. President?"
"What about me, Bill?" the president asked almost too innocently.
"Would you consider a bid for the presidency next time around?"
"That's four years away, Chris.  And under the current circumstances I don't foresee a comeback of my own on the horizon."
"Well that's all the time we have.  It's always a pleasure having you on, Mr. President."
"Well thank you for having me, Bill."

President Obama flippant on Healthcare plan?

"President Clinton, what do you make of President Obama's healthcare reform plan?"
"Well, quite frankly - and speaking as a man with utmost respect for our president - he doesn't seem to have one.  He's been very indecisive, and now President, sorry, Speaker Pelosi is trying to push for a single-payer program.  Still no word from the White House, and I'm adamantly against such a program.  A public option, maybe, a private mandate, sure, like Governor Romney used in Massachusetts.  But I don't care what the president does, he's got to be quick about taking back the reigns from Congressional leadership.  He's really leading from the back on this one."
"Thank you President Clinton."
"I appreciate your time, Chris."

"I am going to push hard for a single-payer healthcare system with a public option, as well as comprehensive coverage for every man, woman, and child.  I am willing to have an open dialogue with congressional leadership on this bill, and we will also plan for other necessary reforms in the future."

"Senator Kennedy Dies at age 77"

If you readers don't mind, I'm going to fast forward a bit until the 2010 elections, then a bit more again until the 2012 elections.

"This healthcare proposal is clearly not going to pass.  The President needs to know when to quit or our party will suffer for it.  I'm becoming increasingly unsure of President Obama's ability to lead..."

Mitt Romney campaigns for GOP in California!
Yet to Declare Presidential Bid

"I think the president will have his healthcare plan fail drastically, and we may see massive Republican gains in November.  We may even have the votes to completely kill Obamacare.  Senator Lieberman, Senator Lincoln, even Senators Casey and Spectre have publicly stated they will vote against any plan that includes a Single Payer system.  We might even win back the House in November."
"Thanks for coming on, Dick."
"Happy to be here, Sean."
