Question about how the identity of the GOP nominee matters. Assume major candidates (those regularly invited to debates) here.

I'd vote for Romney and Perry. I'd hold my nose with Bachmann. I'd have to think about Santorum. I would not vote for Paul, Gingrich or Huntsman.

This, except I'd add Huntsman to my list of people I'd vote for, and I'd never, ever in a million years vote for the nut job Bachmann. I'd vote for Nancy Pelosi over her.

Yes, there are a few Republican candidates who would lose me to Obama.

I would support any Republican, unless Paul ran third party.

I will be voting to re-elect the President regardless of who is offered up against him.

I am staying with President Obama.  Like I said in the other thread, I don't give a damn whom the GOP nominates as I have absolutely no intention of voting for them, either in the primaries or in the general election.

I'd probably vote for Santorum if he won the primaries. Otherwise, I'll vote for Obama.

I'd vote for Paul or Huntsman (though Huntsman reluctantly, and only if he ensures he stays anti-war), neutral with Gingrich possibly, and with Obama on the rest.

If it's Paul, Huntsman or Johnson I'd love to vote for them. If it's Romney I'd vote for him, but only because I know he doesn't mean what he says on foreign policy. If it was anyone else I'd go third party, but I'd secretly root for a republican win.

I'd vote for Gingrich or Santorum enthusiastically. I'd be okay with Huntsman. I'd reluctantly vote for Perry, Bachmann, and Romney. I would not vote if Paul is the nominee unless there's a conservative or moderate third party candidate.

Romney or Perry, write in Daniels or Ryan if neither Romney nor Perry are the nominee. Not voting for any of the others and certainly not for Obama.

Romney, Gingrich, Santorum, and Huntsman are the ones for which I'd vote. Not voting for Obama under any circumstance. If either Paul or Bachmann is the nominee, I'm not voting.

Huntsman and his moderate posturing would give me reason to mull it over, but let's face it: he has no chance. Alas, I'll be voting Obama.

Still adhering to my position.  If Huntsman were the GOP nominee, I'd listen and then decide.  If Romney is the GOP nominee, I'll listen, but am not very likely to vote for him.  If neither is the GOP nominee, I'll either not vote or vote for Obama, since Illinois is a gimme anyway.  I like the president, but after three years in office, he still hasn't learned how to craft good policy, and at this critical juncture, a good policymaker is what we need.

I will probably vote for the Green Party candidate or leave my ballot blank. Perhaps I will write in Bernie Sanders.

This question seems to be asked a lot. Smiley  It has to be a Mormon, or I go over to the dark side again.

What is your problem with Dr. Paul

Strong GOP: Ron Paul, Michelle Bachamann
Lean GOP: Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, Jon Huntsman
Third Party aka a Ron Paul write in : Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich
