Good riddance. He's the congressmoron for my district, and he's been a disaster through and through.

DKE said Trey Grayson lives in this district...he'd be the elephant in the room if he runs, yes?

I don't think Grayson would win the primary. Some of the real right-wingers think he's not conservative enough.

I think Grayson lives in Massachusetts now.

I think Grayson lives in Massachusetts now.

He's doing a stint at Harvard's Institute of Politics. It doesn't mean he's resettled here.

Legally not, perhaps, but I'm not sure how the voters of Kentucky will respond to someone leaving town for Massachusetts and then coming back to run for Congress.

Hopefully a better conservative will take his place. If Grayson comes back, he'd be a good choice.

"Better conservative" is an oxymoron.

The GOP should be required to forfeit their right to field a candidate, as punishment for rigging the election so many times before.

Better? In a sense "even more conservative"? How it's possible? Davis is a very conservative himself. And, BTW, House has more then enough ultras of all stripes  already...

Which should help her make it through a primary then. It's not as if Kentucky is going to elect a Mike Castle Republican unfortunately.

Agree. But i would like for a Delaware, Maryland, New England and some other suitable areas to be able to elect Mike Castle (and even more liberal) Republicans. And, vice versa, a South or other suitable states - to elect rather conservative Democrats. The present day polarization (it's enough to look at typical vote, say, on thomas.loc.gov) is above sky-high

If you want a moderate Republican district, all you have to do is gerrymander in some Dem areas of Louisville. Create a moderate district and you'll get a well behaved candidate.

The Democrats can win if they get the right candidate. Not necessarily a Blue Dog, but someone who can advocate for the left on economics, and speak to the right on social issues.
