Predictions for 2012

I'll try a few predictions:

Obama, Putin and Sarkozy will all win re-election (Mitt Romney was the losing GOP candidate, Trump was running as a major 3rd party candidate, something damaging is revealed about Hollande, enabling a narrow Sarkozy win). Obama wins Missouri this time, but loses Indiana.

China will get the most gold medals in the Olympics.

The Pope will die and be replaced with an African Pope.

Italy wins the EURO by defeating Germany.

The Mars rover called Curiosity will NOT land on Mars.

Green Bay wins the Super Bowl.

The FPÖ will still poll around 25% in the Austrian election polls through most of the year.

Earthquakes will happen in California/Oregon/Washington (bad one), Kenya and Indonesia (moderately ones).

Marlies Schild (Austria) and Ivica Kostellic (Croatia) win the Slalom World Cup, while Mikaela Schiffrin (USA) wins at least 1 race.

Harpers Conservatives in Canada will repeal a gun-registry law, which leads to a spike in future crime. This will lead to a major defeat for them in a later election.

On Sept. 11, 2012 Austria will defeat Germany in the soccer match to be held in Vienna.

"The Dark Knight Rises" will be the most successful film (domestic), followed by "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" and "The Hobbit".

Gregor Schlierenzauer will win the 4-hills jump event.
