She just might be crazy enough to endorse Paul.

Santorum?  He's probably the biggest far-rightist of the bunch aside from Bachmann.

I doubt she'd endorse Paul.  He does, after all, blame America and like queers.

Yeah, she would probably endorse Santorum. But that's a boring guess! Sad

Nobody at first.  Maybe around the time of SC/FL she will endorse Romney if he looks inevitable.

She's definitely been less critical of Santorum than anyone else; but it's difficult to imagine Bachmann endorsing him if he does not exceed expectations in Iowa.

Gardasil and immigration aside, Perry is probably more palatable to her than Romney, Paul, Gingrich, or Huntsman. I can imagine her endorsing Buddy Roemer before she endorses any of those four. (Though I don't find it likely that she'll oppose Romney once he's the nominee.)

She'll wait for the Republican nominee.

I'm tempted to say that she's the only candidate who will endorse whoever wins.

Bachmann has already stated that right after Iowa, she plans on going straight to South Carolina, where she believes she has very strong organization. After a tough defeat in South Carolina, Bachmann will wait a few weeks, then endorse Mitt Romney, the presumptive nominee.

Are we really supposed to believe that? Serious question: Does Bachmann have any organization in South Carolina?

It doesn't matter what we believe - Bachmann believes she has the organization to win South Carolina, and if that's what she believes, she's going to stay in the race until after South Carolina.

No. He's been a strong supporter of DOMA and a critic of Lawrence v. Texas.

Fair point, but not quite what I'm getting at. Does she believe what she says that she believes? You don't need to accept that Bachmann is a compulsive liar to  realize that she has incentives to misrepresent the strength of her organization in later states.

Nevertheless, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bachmann stay in through South Carolina. (In fact, part of me doubts that anyone will withdraw immediately after Iowa, especially if Paul wins and all six contenders finish with support solidly within the double digits.) But I would be surprised if she were to put forth a solid effort there.

He doesn't support an amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

Even if she's already committed to dropping out after a poor IA showing, would you really expect her to say anything else?

She'll probably endorse Romney after New Hampshire or something. No chance of her endorsing Gingrich or Paul.

That's your metric for "liking queers." Ok. I'd be looking for a more progressive position as a gay-friendly voter, but I suppose that's one reason why I'm not a Republican. Not supporting a constitutional amendment to penalize to gays is as good as it gets in the GOP field. I know it will be a shock to the public, but Romney has been on every side of the issue possible, so even though he endorsed the Amendment in 2006, I'd take it with a very large grain of salt.
