Hey, where's the 2010s? It's been the best decade by far.

How? Well, let's look at some of the best albums:

  • Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV, Rebirth, and I Am Not a Human Being
  • Eminem's Recovery
  • Lupe Fiasco's Lasers
  • Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday
  • T.I.'s No Mercy
  • Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
  • Drake's Take Care and Thank Me Later
  • T-Pain's rEVOLVEr
  • Tech N9ne's All 6's and 7's

Must I go on? Yeah, the 2010s.

This is more like a list of why the 2010s have been the worst decade for music...

How many of the albums on that list have you listened to in their entirety?

Both of Lil Wayne's records, Eminem's, Lupe Fiasco's (which I did enjoy, I will admit), Kanye West's in partial (only because my friend had me listen to it because he couldn't understand why I had such volatile hatred for him and his music), Drake's "Thank Me Later" (I wanted to see why my peers loved him so much, needless to say I am still shrouded in doubt) and Tech N9ne's record.

I don't care for TI, T Pain or Nicki Minaj at all, nor do I care for Kanye West or Drake.

I like some of Lil Wayne's stuff and I really enjoy Eminem's older stuff. Lupe's also pretty good, as is Tech N9ne. I prefer 90's rap, though. Public Enemy, NWA, 3 6 Mafia, etc...

The best of progressive rock (selling england by the pound; close to the edge)

Other essentials: In the Court of the Crimson King, Thick as a Brick, Hemispheres, Wish You Were Here, Animals + many more.

Crimson is great.  Of course, Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands.  And Dream theatre is great, except the singing, which is why I prefer LTE.

Of course, the 70's is by far the greatest decade, without question.  The only one close are the 60's.

Not sure if I posted it before, but for me it's the 90's, followed by the 70's, then the 60's, then the 80's, then the 00's.

The 90's.

But if you go by the way I see the decades:

50's: '53-'64
60's:'64-'71
70's:'71-81
80's-'81-'91
91's-'91-'01
2000's-01'-???

And since when is tech n9ne mainstream? Too bad this is his worst album that made him mainstream.

For popular music?  That's hard to say.  I like popular music from the 50s onward... though I am familiar with the most from the 80s and 90s.

As for music that I like... mostly music from the last 5-7 years.
