Santorum now up by a commanding 4 vote margin. I would have thought that would be it, but CNN is still saying 99% reporting.

Santorum is ahead again after Keokuk comes in. Now we just need Clinton's precinct.

And apparently there was a change in Storey county where Romney leads again.

At the risk of sounding like a Paultard conspiracy theorist, what happened to the "no recount" rule?

Perhaps a typo correction?

Santorum up 4. Well, we need just a Romney +4 from the remaining precinct, it seems?

All I see left is one precinct in Clinton County.

In theory, a recount could be ordered by the caucus goers.

Google map has Santorum up by unspecified amount with only the Clinton precinct uncounted (and the "corrected" numbers out of Story County).

The results the media reports are unofficial. As such the officials will update with any corrections that come in. I've found that name swaps on the totals are quite common at county tabulations. Until the county officials certify the result to the state it is subject to change.

There is a difference between a recount and a retabulation.

Apparently there was an error in another county, and Keokuk put Santorum back up by 4.

I think this race is TCTC. Wink

CNN has been told an announcement from the Republican Party of Iowa declaring the winner is "very soon".

How do you know someone will win? A tie is a realistic possibility.

CNN joked that this makes the 532 Florida 2000 margin look like a landslide.

Holy Crap...someone is about to win this caucus with less than 10 votes.

At that point, neither candidate can call it a definitive win, although a virtual tie helps Santorum much more, since Romney theoretically had a lead in the polls.
