You don't know how long I've waited to hear  that number from you, Jon Huntsman:

Does anyone else think their voices sound off tonight, especially Perry's?

I only noticed it with Perry.

None of them sound particularly crazy, that's a change!

Romney is speaking about character, LOL.

Romney doesn't want to be critical of the people on the stage...
Debate? What's that?

Perry was right about Paul's hypocrisy on earmarks, but at the same time, a tool of TX special interests, presents himself as an outsider.

Ron Paul had a good point about using the Balanced Budget amendment as a shield for spending, but most of his individual points were lost to Santorum who I think won that exhange over Paul.

I think Romney did best in that exchange by appearing "above the fray".

Fun fact: We can completely gut the military budget and still have the money and the guns to outmatch any other nation's military budget. Our military should be streamlined, not the fat blob it is now.

The people attending the debate have probably just realised that they don't want to be there and would rather watch the playoffs, hence the atmosphere. As it happens I'm glad that I'm watching the playoffs instead of the debate.

I'm 5 minutes away from switching to the Saints-Lions game.

If Romney had a hammock he'd be lounging in it now...see you in Tampa Bay!

He didn't attack it. He just said it's carried out unfairly.

That was my impression as well.  And focusing on Obama rather than Santorum or the others helps him.

Newt seems to continue to self destruct God bless him. His day is just so over. He's just a nasty prick, and now the folks are realizing that.  Life is good. Of course, like most middle class kids he legally evaded the draft to avoid being in harm's way, working the system! Be honest Newt. Paul is wrong however, that our warriors subject to being killed or maimed, or disproportionately these days persons of color. They are not. Persons of color tend to have desk jobs in the military. It is white middle class kids who want to play Rambo. He is right however, as to how our drugs law are unfairly applied. Having had a brush with them, I know. Cops don't really want to mess much with persons of my class and race on that kind of stuff. They just don't. Among other things, we will litigate the matter to death, and require them to spend hours and hours in court. They don't like courts. Smiley

And if one is truly interested in preserving the death penalty, the best way to do so would be to resolve some of these concerns. Otherwise support will bleed away and it will be abolished across the US, in a decade or two.

One of these days, a moderator will ask Romney a paradox and his moderate hero brain will explode.
