Looks like exit polling shows independents are equally dividing their support between Romney, Huntsman, and Paul.

Not surprising. Most Republicans don't like him, and almost all his support is from Independents and Democrats.

However, Huntsman could claim he "exceeded market expectations" considering he's outperformed almost polls.

Where else does Huntsman even have to go next? He's done.

Vermont? Rhode Island? Oregon? Outside of some states that have a large number of progressive voters, I don't see him having much of a shot of winning anything.

Huntsman's just spontaniously got up to interview with CNN, says he's heading to SC. Body language displaying clear disappointment.

Why? He has no chance there. He should go to Florida.

Huntsman's rhetoric against Obama and Romney was hilarious.

Definitely. Do you think Santorum will outpoll Gingrich?

What a horrible event on my Dad's birthday. Sad

You couldn't have realistically expected Santorum to finish in the top three. The state is just too libertarian with social issues.

So Romney only got about 35%? Piss poor for the regional candidate who's supposed to be the frontrunner.

He could win 99% and you Democrats would never be satisfied.

Romney has won the nomination. It's over. Good night.

It's not over the Tea Party will stop him.

Just like they would take back the US Senate in 2010. Roll Eyes

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe the Republicans have renominated Thomas Dewey.

I said more or less the exact same thing precisely one minute after you in another thread.

I highly doubt Romney would turn the lights off of his campaign a month before the election like Dewey did. Tongue

It's a sad day for America when only one Protestant polls above 1% in a Republican primary.
Ron Paul isn't protestant? I thought he was Baptist.

Precisely. ONE Protestant is polling over 1%. That ONE person is Ron Paul.

Does it really matter? Plus Mormons are pretty much Protestants. I'm not sure how else you would characterize them. Christian-Other?

CNN saying there were bottles of beer on Huntsman's table...

I wonder if he will be drunk when he speaks.

Santorum has jumped into 4th...

Congrats, Phil.

A respectable result for Santorum considering he was within the margin of error a few weeks ago.
