Living near the Canadian border is nice.  We get a good number of Canadians that come here for shopping and entertainment.  Nothing like Grand Forks (loads of Winnipeg/Red River Valley Manitobans)... but we get a lot of Manitobans and Ontarians here.

Crossing the Canadian border, however, is a big f**king pain in the ass.  And if you think American border control is bad... wait until you meet the Canadian ones.  It's ridiculous.  I think the border with Canada should be completely open like in the Schengen countries.  But that would require the U.S. and Canadian governments working together more closely on counter terrorism, etc... and that ain't happening.
