As it seems that the Senators have been sworn in, I think that now, before we get into the first week of Senatorial voting and debating, that we hold the PPT election.

Declared candidates are (in alphabetical order):

Defarge (D-NY)
John F. Kennedy (I-CA)
Supersoulty (F-PA)

If no candidate gets a majority, will there be a run-off?

John F. Kennedy (I-CA)

I think all three candidates would make terrific PPTs; I simply see no reason to replace JFK.

All of these people would be great, but John F. Kennedy has done a great job so far and deserves a re-election because of this.

I encourage the senators to vote for John F. Kennedy, with my second preference definitely being Defarge.

The Senate thanks you for your enthusiasm, but only Senators vote on the PPT, Alcon. Smiley

Oh, I wasn't voting. I was just sort of throwing in my personal view. Sorry about not making that clear.

Defarge

I too believe that JFK has been an excellent PPT, and Super would make a great PPT as well.  However, I believe that a progressive should hold the office.  Meanwhile, it appears that the PPT has usurped the VP's power as President of the Senate in terms of opening up debate and whatnot, thus even more reason to vote for a lazy progressive such as myself. I believe it is in the best interests of my adminisitration to keep Senator John F. Kennedy on as President Pro Tempore, so he has my support for reelection to this post.

Siege is laid low by the flu.
But if WMS would vote, that would make a lot of things easier...if he voted JFK that is (election stands at 5-3. Only way JFK can still lose is for WMS and Siege to vote Defarge and Phil to break the tie in Defarge's favor...doesn't sound too realistic.)

[from work...]

Let's get this over with, and end my indecision over these three good candidates.

I vote JFK for PPT.

That means the vote stands at 6-3 in my favour with only Siege40 left to vote. I guess this means I can get to work Smiley.
