This is something we've been discussing on this forum.
I think this is a great idea. What do you think?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush on Monday tapped two former presidents -- his father, President George H.W. Bush, and his predecessor, President Clinton -- to lead a nationwide fund-raising campaign to help victims of the Asian tsunamis.

"I ask every American to contribute as they are able to do so," Bush said in the White House's Roosevelt Room, the two former presidents at his side.

Of course, I see nothing wrong.

Some folks voted "no".   How come?

What could possibly be wrong with asking people to voluntarily donate what money they can spare?

I voted no. Those Indonesians need to get a job and pay for their own relief. It's not our fault that they decided to not go to college and wanted to be poor instead. And they're the ones who chose to live in a third-world country. God, you people. If they really cared, they'd just come to America!

Course it's okay. Slick Willy is looking haggard though.  Saw him on CNN and he looked older than 41.

Uh, given that he's 58, that fact doesn't really surprise me.

LOL - he meant he looked older that President #41, George Bush Sr. who was right beside him on the split screen! Cheesy  Clinton, I think, does look roughly his age, perhaps a little older.  Bush Sr., on the other hand, certainly does not look 80.

Ohhh, okay, I get it.

Given that I don't usually refer to presidents as numbers, that kinda confused me.

Unless Jake actually thinks that Clinton became president when he was 29 years old!
