I don't know about anyone else, but as someone who really hasn't had one set person to support throughout this nominating process, I find myself disgusted at the relentless attacks on Governor Romney that I see on this forum.

Newt Gingrich is clearly a candidate with baggage and that is an understatement. Rick Santorum would be acceptable to me. Other than that you have Ron Paul, who is only a "contender" because he is anti-war and for legalizing drugs. Period. All the young people I talk to who like Ron Paul are against the wars and want legalized marijuana. Period. There is nothing else. Why else would young people support a 76 year old Republican?

Governor Romney worked at Bain Capitol. Do you know how lucky any person would be to have a job like that? A career in business? I would be dancing a jig if I knew I'd have a job at a place like that. But it seems that the liberals enjoy painting "Bain" as some sort of dark and sinister corporation.

They also attacked Romney for saying "Corporations are People". Well, let me tell you something. I've been working as a waiter for a year and a half. I am one insignificant cog in the whole corporate spiral. But in a way, I understand what he means. If the corporation failed, my store would close, I'd be out of work.

But to my fellow Republicans, PLEASE, enough attacking Romney. He will be our nominee and the choice between the handout, no hard work-entitlement President Barack Obama and between a successful businessman turned Governor Mitt Romney is no contest.

So does Newt.

I'll just point out that Paul was one of the few congressmen to support Reagan when he ran in 76. Mittens on the other hand has this to say of him "I was not a Republican during Reagan/Bush, I do not want to return to Reagan/Bush." So why would you, a "conservative" Republican from Ohio support him? The only reasons you could have for supporting him are that "OMG he's had a job in the private sector before!!!111!!!!1!" and that he is not a Kenyan socialist. Period. There is nothing else. This is just going by the logic you used here.

No.
Romney is the sum of everything I despise. Frankly seeing him fail spectacularly would be worth another four years of Obama

Let me clarify, of course "corporations are people." And of course his work at Bain is a part of the virtuous cycle that is the free-market. But Mittens is not a human being to ever..ever...be trusted.

But it seems that the liberals enjoy painting "Bain" as some sort of dark and sinister corporation.

It is a dark and sinister corporation. It makes money by destroying smaller companies and firing people. Do you not see any sort of moral problem with that?

Clearly not. He'd be delighted if he could have that job. Why do people whine about a job that would be really hot to have, just because it also involves destroying some other people. Typical liberals with their hatred of succes.

What's interesting is that the Republican field is attacking Romney in a way Obama never would. It really shows you a difference in style between the Dems and the GOP. The Dems are far too timid.

Nah, I bet Obama is going to be pretty fierce over the summer, just recycling the other GOP candidates' attacks. Newt's SuperPAC stuff is a godsend to Obama and the DNC.

Just recently I have thought about the fact why the other candidates didn't really attack Romney. Even though you could write a 500-page book about how you could attack him.

But if not then, they are doing it now, which is good, because Romney and his Super-PAC surrogates did the same right after Christmas. So, please no whining from the Pro-Romney-fetishists.

Imagine what the Obama-campaign and his surrogates will do with Romney when he limps out of the primary ? They will eat him alive, spit him out and leave the spit-out-Mitt to the descending media vultures. That's a bit harsh, I know, but roughly what can be expected in the next months.

It's called Capitalism.

See, that's what America represents. Remember the Cold War? Communism vs. Capitalism? We would have had a nuclear war to prevent the destruction of it?

So, using your logic, America used a nuclear deterrent to protect something you're opposed to.

When have Dem attack ads ever been fierce? Just not their style.

A lot of the jobs that are the most conventionally fun and remunerative to have are also the most morally reprehensible ones. I think that's part of what they call the Fall.

Capitalism doesn't inherently need to be evil you twat. There are plenty of ways to make money and grow a company that don't involve the destruction of other people's livelihoods.
