Game 1:

Initally: Hughento 246, MHS2002 162
6 weeks left: Hugh 246, MHS 151
5 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 246
4 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 205
3 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 247
2 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 253
1 week left: MHS 278, Hugh 205
Election Day: MHS 278, Hugh 198

Final Result:
(R) MHS2002: Pettit/Cuthbert: 333, 65,457,518, 52%
(D) Hughento: Bartlett/Sanchez: 205, 58,760,999, 47%

Closest State:
California: MHS wins 49.9-49.9
7,522,648 votes to 7,517,978 (4,670 vote margin)

Synopsis:
Hughento's campaign was hit by a series of medium-sized scandals early on that doomed his campaign from the outset. With negative momentum for almost the whole campaign, Hughento was forced to play catchup. MHS2002, on the other hand, stayed clear of any major scandals and performed well on the debates. On the morning of election day, the polls gave MHS a lead in the Electoral College, which he enjoyed on Election Night. The victory in California by the slimmest of margins gave MHS a solid electoral win in Game 1 of the best-of-seven matchup.

Yeah. I'm running as the Libertarian and flipping all issue stances twice: once at the beginning and then again with 2 days to go.

Game 2:

Initally: MHS2002 248, Hughento 172
6 weeks left: MHS 248, Hugh 172
5 weeks left: MHS 288, Hugh 228
4 weeks left: MHS 282, Hugh 228
3 weeks left: MHS 303, Hugh 228
2 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 228
1 week left: MHS 288, Hugh 243
Election Day: MHS 260, Hugh 243

Final Result:
(R) MHS2002: Pettit/Cuthbert: 277, 63,294,226, 50%
(D) Hughento: Bartlett/Sanchez: 261, 60,896,735, 48%

Closest States:
Iowa: MHS wins 50.1-49.8
651,949 votes to 648,423 (3,526 vote margin)
Virginia: Hugh wins 51.1-48.2
Wisconsin: MHS wins 52.0-47.8
New Mexico: Hugh wins 53.0-46.8

Synopsis:
Game 2 lacked a lot of the scandal associated with Game 1 as neither candidate was able to get a stranglehold on the Electoral College. MHS won all three debates for the second game in a row; these victories were able to give him slim leads in a few key states. However, these leads evaporated by Election Day thanks to some solid campaigning by Hughento and a late MHS scandal. On Election Day, four states: Virginia, Wisconsin, Iowa, and New Mexico would determine the winner. In the end, a close win in Wisconsin gave MHS the votes needed to take a 2-0 lead, heading into two games of regionalism and dynamism.

Game 3:

Initially: MHS2002 182, Hughento 179
6 weeks left: Hugh 244, MHS 209
5 weeks left: MHS 283, Hugh 255
4 weeks left: Hugh 276, MHS 262
3 weeks left: Hugh 266. MHS 256
2 weeks left: MHS 266, Hugh 206
1 week left: MHS 266, Hugh 238
Election Day: MHS 277, Hugh 261

Final Result:
(R) MHS2002: Pettit/Cuthbert: 277, 61,155,376, 49%
(D) Hughento: Bartlett/Sanchez: 261, 62,742,356, 50%

Closest State:
Missouri: MHS wins 51.6-47.2

Synopsis:
Game 3 demonstrated the twists and turns of dynamism as candidates swaped leads heading into the final weeks of the campaign. Unlike the first two games, Hughento was able to win a debate. However, that victory was overshadowed by strong scandals on both sides that nearly sent both campaigns into self-destruct mode. With both candidates experiencing negative triple-digit momentum, it would be a matter of who would crawl out of the doldrums first. MHS was able to do this, and entered Election Day with the votes necessary to win. Unlike the first two games, there were no toss-up states.

Game 4:

Initially: Hughento 207, MHS2002 187
6 weeks left: Hugh 259, MHS 192
5 weeks left: MHS 279, Hugh 259
4 weeks left: Hugh 259, MHS 258
3 weeks left: MHS 279, Hugh 259
2 weeks left: MHS 268, Hugh 235
1 weeks left: Hugh 270, MHS 268
Election Day: Hugh 270, MHS 268

Final Results:
(R) MHS2002: Pettit/Cuthbert: 272, 64,353,095, 51%
(D) Hughento: Bartlett/Sanchez: 266, 59,916,735, 48%

Closest State:
Rhode Island: MHS wins 53.1-46.7

Synopsis:
The first few weeks of Game 4 saw little out of the ordinary as the candidates made their way on the campaign trail. However, when the debates rolled around, Hughento was hit with a powerful scandal that nearly dealt his campaign a crushing blow. Hugh was able to offset the scandal with a couple of debate wins to get his campaign back on track. When Election Day rolled around, Hugh appeared to have his first win under his belt, leading 270-268 with no toss-up states. Unfortunately for him, Rhode Island did a total 180 degree turn, voting for MHS in the 11th hour. The late switch gave MHS a 272-266 victory and the First Atlas President Forever title in a four game sweep.

Damn you Missouri and Rhode Island!

Thanks for doing this MHS. It was always going to be difficult for a D to beat any Republican, but especially hard against a bloke like you Smiley

Congratulations on your win. Here, have 5 brownie points Smiley
