Mitt Romney would NEVER promise what people want to hear depending on the election he's running in. NEVER.

This is Romney best chance to finish off Gingrich. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

Through hour one, I think Romney is beating Gingrich. It's only half time, though. Let's get another goal, Mitt. A 2-0 scoreline is never enough.....

Agreed. The Americans learned this in the Gold Cup final when Mexico scored 4 goals after. Smiley

Mitt accuses Newt of telling people what they want to hear? Uh...

Do you win an election telling people what they don't want to hear? Think about it.

I've noticed that Mitt stutters when he's criticized and doesn't know how to respond. I don't think he's stuttered once to noticeable effect tonight. I really do think this shows his control of the debate thus far.

Congressman Gingrich. I love it.

Mitt accuses Newt of telling people what they want to hear? Uh...

Do you win an election telling people what they don't want to hear? Think about it.

So why would Mitt Romney (of all people) choose to attack Gingrich on this if it's such an effective tactic? All I'm saying is that it's hilarious and all too typical for him to accuse someone else of something for which he himself is notorious.

He stuttered badly for a moment when Blitzer called him out on the attack ad.

You could have a somewhat baseline-honest personality. Think about it.

The thread indicates Romney, but the posting is too scant to determine for sure. I don't have cable and my internet connection is too slow for live feed, so my only source for this debate is A-Span. Tongue

During the debate, Newt dropped from 11 to 4.7 on Intrade. I haven't seen that much movement since Rick Perry's "It'll be three departments that are gone..."

Not stuttering once re: Romneycare.

In fact, I don't think Romneycare will hurt Romney one bit in the general. He's had SO much time to get his answer straightened out, and he seems to have done so already.
