That is ridiculous.
Attacking new members because of the region where they register.
I know you want to retain absolute control on your region, but that's ridiculous.
You should be ashamed of that behaviour.

I should add than I'll be ashamed if I discover than Labor encourage strategical registering.

I haven't attacked any new members. I haven't really attacked anyone other than opebo and Seatown, who came here from other regions. Given Labor's declared intentions of taking over the South was promptly followed by their moves down here, I strongly suspect strategic registration, and nobody in this thread has denied that that is the case.

According to my sources, Seatown and Velasco were strategic registers, and that no-one specifically recruited Opebo or Zanas (though it appears they registered where they did due to reading and hearing about Cottonfield and the like).

Evidence?

_Actually_, as I am IRL a radical leftist living in a tough rightist place, I figured I could use my IRL experience to try that challenge here. How it will end up I don't know.

Evidence? That Labor launched Cottonfield, and a few days later they move in (and that's why it appears so, though it can't be confirmed for sure).

I would like to take the time to encourage all members of the Labor Party to review the ballot initiatives that are up for consideration:

No. 001 End Pointless Occupations Act
No. 002 The Painting Horse Returns Initiative
No. 003 The Purple State Initiative
No. 004 Marriage Revenge Initiative

No. 005 Sexual Assault Ban Initiative
No. 006 Torture Isn't Nice Initiative
No. 007 Condemnation of Condemnable Behavior Act

Sponsored by a Labor member

I would also like to suggest - despite this shortened initiative cycle - that we attempt to collaborate on one or more new initiatives that best embrace the ideals of the Labor Party, so that they may be voted upon by the public at-large.

I actually used to live in E. TN I moved to the south because it had an active legislature, and wanted to participate in the game after my defeat in the Senate. "Operation Cottonfield" was dubbed after me and opebo moved.

It seems we're losing the Battle of Memphis. The CoCB Initiative has a billion signatures.

I've just registered as a member of the Labor Party in Kentucky. I'm interested in running for something or another. Where would be a good place to start?

Hey TNF, welcome! The best place for any new member of the game to start would be to consider running for a regional legislative seat. There are five regions (Pacific, Midwest, Northeast, South and Mideast - the one you are currently in) and currently three: the Northeast, South and Mideast have regional legislatures.

You can also move again to a new region any time within the next 7 days, if you do not find the situation in the Mideast (KY) to be to your liking. Check out the Atlas Introduction thread and Wiki for more information.

The Snowstalker/Redalgo ticket will seek the endorsement of the Labor Party.

Also, I support 2, 3, 5, and 6, and oppose 1, 4, and 7.

Yes, because it's totally imperialistic to have troops in Japan. Everyone knows we're busy making them into one of our hundreds of colonies, like Germany and its 50,000 US troops. Why aren't you motioning to pull our troops out of there? They've got more than South Korea and Japan combined, and they don't face a shadowy, threatening neighbor with which they are at war.

You're accusing us of being imperialistic? I'll accuse you of being less anti-imperialistic than possible! Seriously though, just these two is getting a gauge for people's desire to adopt measures like this. Germany, Italy, Kuwait, etc are still on the list. And who's the shadowy, threatening neighbor? South Korea and Japan aren't at war with China or Russia, just as an FYI.

So you don't consider North Korea a threat to South Korea? You don't consider an openly imperialist China to be a threat to Japan, though I admit it is not immediate.

Given North Korea's isolation, weakness, outdated military, and lack of things like food, the South Korean military could stomp them in a second. As for China, Japan is not presently at war with them. But that's missing the point. Defense of foreign nations is not our priority; the priorities of this nation should be helping the people of Atlasia.
