Hope I can give a little speech tommorow. Any other speakers?
MasterSanders- could you expand upon this "Locke-Burke dinner" idea?
Locke gave us classical liberalism, promoted the idea of natural rights, and formulated the concept of the contract relationship between the people and government. Burke gave us a love for tradition, and vehemently opposed the insanity of the French revolution, yet supported indivigual rights within the confines of the existing social structure (communitarianism?), and supported the American Whigs. Both were key members of the Whig movement, and both were key in the intellectual development of modern day conservatism, particularly in America. I believe we should honor them for their contribution to our party's ideology. I might speak.
