Let's not pretend the man has any real money at all. I mean, he does have some net worth, but most of it is tied up in *real estate* and he has nowhere near what he claims to have. That's why he'll never run for President; ultimately, he would to have to fess up and show us what he's really worth. He's went through bankruptcy twice if I recall correctly. He also counts the total value of joint ownership properties as 100% his and counts his properties' monetary value at appraisal value rather than market value. No way he's worth more than $3 billion and probably doesn't have more than a couple hundred million on hand.

An endorsement of Gingrich makes some sense: take a strong stand for the Tea Party candidate, and, if he loses, position yourself as the champion of the Tea Party in the general as an independent.
