Pro-Obama, but very, very, very anti-GOP.

e: To clarify, I like Obama, and think he's done a pretty good job. But ultimately it doesn't matter that much. The alternative is unacceptable.

Interchangeable. However, Republicans and "conservatives" would be more likely to oppose warmongering and stupid/evil policies under Obama. And the public would be much more likely to blame liberalism or socialism for the country being in the toilet.. I don't think OWS (or worse) would have as much of a chance of gaining a serious foothold in public opinion under him. So I guess Obama, if you held a gun to my head. Of course there's a small part of me that would be happy seeing him lose in an landslide to just about anyone.

Beyond Ron Paul, where is the Republican opposition to any kind of warmongering?

You had Bachmann & Co. opposing Libya, and relatively anti-warmongerish Donald Trump did lead in the polls at one point (admittedly not for that reason).  Still not typical in the GOP, but non-warmongering ideas are much more popular within them than in '08.

Personally, I don't think I've heard more blatant chest-thumping out of a Presidential candidate since Reagan, than that which spews forth from Romney.

It makes people feel more secure... but by God it costs.

By the standards of Obama (or, actually, any Democratic president since Cleveland except maybe Carter, who's about tied), Reagan pursued a generally peaceful foreign policy.

As in didn't engage in any real wars... sure - but bloating the DoD and *cough* Iran Contra... Reagan did plenty.

Oh, I don't disagree, but at this point for either party to reduce themselves to merely Reagan levels of "chest-thumping" would be a major improvement.
