INTP (aka "Architect") with only the P "distinctly expressed". (33-50-38-67 the percentages at the top)

"INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.

Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists.

INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible. They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.

A major concern for INTPs is the haunting sense of impending failure. They spend considerable time second-guessing themselves."

Heh. Not so wrong.

Guardian, on the paid test.

Guardian again on the free test, of the Inspector role variant.

Took the free comprehensive test. Got INTJ (Mastermind).

Introverted 89%
Intuitive 38%
Thinking 50%
Judging 33%

Not entirely sure about several answers, though. By reading the description, I think I might also fit as Architect.

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

I scored INFP, whatever that means.  I'm advised to consider Social Work as a career path.

I took it again this morning and I got INTJ.  Again, with fairly low numbers in the categories.  This one recommends a career in the Natural Sciences, or becoming a lawyer.

Yesterday I'm a social worker, today a lawyer.  Maybe it's a morning/evening thing.  Or dependent on what I had to eat or drink.

I find a couple of them hard to answer.  For example, "You know how to put every minute of your time to good purpose."  I think I do.  For example, right now there are several important things I should be doing, so I'm tempted to say yes, I know exactly how to put my moments to good purpose.  On the other hand, here I sit, posting on a forum which has no practical effect on anything, so the evidence suggests that I do not actually put every moment of my time to good purpose.

I tend to resent this attitude that "emotions are negative, rational thought is positive" bullsh**t.  Rational thought without the influence of emotion, intuition, and common sense is nothing but a pile of crap.

Kinda like James said in his "Epistle of Straw", faith is the only necessity to get into the kingdom of heaven... but faith without works is dead.

Or, even in science... where a rational thought process is necessary to test and verify theories.  But where would the theories come from if people had no imagination and no inclination to dream a little?

I'm not surprised by that at all. I have been called, far too many times, a devout christian in a gay atheist's body, if that makes any sense.

LOL.  That's so sad.  Worst of all possible worlds.  Oh, why couldn't it be the other way around, so you could have the rock-hard abs and trim waistline of someone for whom gluttony is a sin and the work ethic is a way of life, but with the emotional agility to lustfully enjoy hedonism.

Ah, well, the gods certainly do have a twisted sense of humor.

The emotional vs. rational (F for you, T for me) is our only "difference".

Guardian/ENTJ

Not sure what to make of these things.

edit: apparently Guardians can't be ENTJ.  What a fascinatingly nuanced person I must be!  I imagine my $20 report would be full of incredible revelations

I assume that university advisors use this information to help you decide upon a major or possible career alternatives, but they're only somewhat interesting.

The ones that ask you the exact time and place of your birth make very interesting reports.  Apparently the alignment of the stars above, given the place you were born and the data and time, shape your personality and your fate to a great deal.  I got my $9 astrology report from some agent about 20 years ago and it was full of fascinating revelations.  And there's not wobbling or hard to answer questions, so you can't get confused or fake it.  It's just when and where were you born.

There is also the Life Rhythm Theory.  I got that report as well.  That's good for planning things like long hikes or adventure vacations or the best time to marry or get a new job.

I always find these tests kind of silly.  I already know that I'm extroverted, over-think things, take leadership roles, make decisions by intellectualizing emotions, etc.  Do people really need tests to tell them these things?  It just results in false dichotomies; for instance, contrary to the Myers-Briggs typology, rationalism and empathy aren't mutually exclusive at all.

agreed.  This is why I like the astrological reports a little more.  No false dichotomies there.  Just alignments of heavenly bodies.  I especially like the sensationalistic San Francisco ones, which often combine Western and Chinese zodiacs for a very thorough description.
