One question to the Senate. How will this affect other free trade deals being negotiated with the United States such as CAFTA and the Chilean Free Trade Treaty?

I believe it has no effect.

Well, I've read some more and I'm now getting conflicting opinions on the NAFTA, and given that the actual agreement appears to be several hundred pages long, it would take way too long to sort through it to find out the truth.  I think I really should admit that I simply don't know enough about the NAFTA to make an informed decision and I don't want to make an uninformed vote, so...

Abstain.

With six votes in favour to one against with one abstention, I declare this bill to have passed and call upon the President to sign it into law.

Thank you for your defense of free trade.  There are problems with NAFTA, as there are with every agreement, but tossing out the baby with the bathwater is not the solution.

I want to commend President PBrunsel for corageously vetoing this nonsense bill. The approval of this bill by the Senate is just showing that things are starting to go terribly wrong in Atlasia.
This bill would clearly affect the business sector of Atlasia as well as a great majority of workers. It is misleading populism.
The protectionism of some Senators, expressed in this bill, as well as the complete irresponsibility of the Media that has generated the growing tensions with China are disturbing. Two pieces of legislation affecting directly the business sector are, IMO, unacceptable.
