Santorum won Larimer county, which is usually a good indicator of the state as a whole.

I'd be amazed if he loses CO.

Santorum wins Larimer County with 80 votes?

What the hell?

They pulled Larimer, seems like it was a mistake.

Romney is leading now 37-35.

Yes, it's closer now that most of the Denver area is in. Jefferson is the only major Denver area county left, although Boulder has some comparitively large number of votes (how many Republicans are there in Boulder?) and says only 0% reporting.

50% of the precincts are reporting.

Romney takes the lead after Denver, but he didn't perform great there.

I just got home and I look on Politico to see Santorum within two points in Colorado.

Am I dreaming?

Is the vote coming in so slowly because they're throwing Santorum's votes out? That would help explain the horrible turnout too.

We're still waiting on Colorado Springs to come in.

Will Colorado be called pretty soon, do you think? Or will it turn into an Iowa?

I now see why the GOP is so concerned with voter fraud... they can't run elections.

Ugh looks like I have to change my call. Rick may still win it but it will be within 3 points either way. I hate Romney.

Romney only won Jefferson by 208 votes according to reporters at the Denver Post.

Santorum is up more than 1700 votes in El Paso County, with 193 of 199 precincts.

I doubt it'll turn into another Iowa but it's probably going to be a while before they call it.

Romney leads 39%-35% now.

Is the vote coming in so slowly because they're throwing Santorum's votes out? That would help explain the horrible turnout too.

A-Bob already explained why the vote is supposedly coming in "so slowly".  People were voting until a few hours ago.  It took Iowa at least 5 hours to report close to everything.  And Minnesota results are still trickling in.  Colorado's reporting is actually fairly fast, compared to Nevada and probably even compared to Iowa.

There is no anti-Santorum conspiracy.  Given what is out, he will probably win this.  El Paso County will put him over the top.  Jefferson County won't be enough to counter it.  Weld and Larimer Counties will also likely go to him.

Jefferson and Mesa counties could still be a big boost to Romney.

I'm sticking to my call. All they've done is dump every thing Romney's got at Santorum while holding back Santorum counties.

Romney needed to do better in Denver + Boulder to take this. Jefferson is all he's got and after that it's just going to be all Santorum.

59% in now, and Romney's only up by 400 votes... not good for Romney.
