If Romney wins all three states tonight, will he clinch the republican nomination?

The only thing that could unclinch Romney is Santorum.

Santorum, really? Not Gingrich?

Actually I think the only thing that could unclinch Romney is Romney himself.

CNN is counting down from 20 right now. What happens when they get to zero?

Counting down from twenty minutes?
If so, that's when polls close in MO and the caucuses starts in MN.

It seems silly that the boring NV contest got an entrance poll and yet neither of these caucuses will have one. At least it'll make watching the results come in more exciting though.

Yeah, elections without exit polls are much more fun.

I'll report my precinct as soon as I can. Last year Romney won over 50%, Huckabee and Paul tied around 20% and McCain got around 10% with some 25 ish people for 08. Only four came in 2010. So it should be a decent indication of how the state will go by 08 standards.

I was wondering more what CNN will show after they count down to zero. Will they put up results or just talk some more?

I hope that is as nasty a double entendre as I think.

From Italy, Fox News in tv and one site between CNN and Politico.

Bret Baier on Fox News has said ten minutes ago "Buongiorno! For friends that are watching from Italy!"
Thank You Bret!

I'd be surprised if more than 15% vote in MO.

There are 4.2 Mio. voters in MO, so this would mean roughly 630.000 voters

In 2008, there were 1.45 Mio. voters (850K on the Dem side and 600 on the GOP side).

I think GOP turnout will be roughly 350-450K today and the rest belongs to the Democrats (ca. 100-150K).

Was Missouri also a non-binding primary back in 2008?  The news about it being a non-binding primary could also decrease turnout somewhat

This Ed Show host is awful. But Ezra Klein is about to be on, so that's cool.

First results from Missouri are in

Romney is ahead, but not by much

I still haven't figured out the sense of the Missouri primary. It seems as if it is just a glorified / over-dimensional poll.

Hm, still early to predict MO but Santorum in 2nd place is surprising.
