I recently found on Youtube some extended election night footage from both the 1972 and 1976 Presidential elections. I know that many have been looking for this for a very long time. I cannot post links at this time, but they can now be found there.

I've been looking for coverage of 1976 for awhile.  When you can post links will you post them here?  I haven't been able to find it.

Just starting to work my way through the 76 coverage.  It's so interesting to see so many careers in national politics and governorships get their start here; Lugar, Lawton Chiles, the speakership of O'Neil.  The coverage, at least so far, is very non-partisan too, which is nice to remember.

Lawton Chiles was already elected to the Senate six years earlier and he did not become Governor until 1991.

Oops.  Thanks for the correction.
