Although we no longer speak day to day as we did as recently as two years ago, and while we haven't hung out in person since July 2009, I want to deliver a public message to my good friend, Keystone Phil.

Back about 7 years ago or so, Phil's passion and support of Rick Santorum was easy to laugh at. His insistence that Santorum, by 2006 defeated at the hands of Bob Casey, would be a future Presidential candidate, also made for good jokes.

"I told you to keep your mouth shut and cook me dinner..."

But through all the mocking and laughs, Phil's insistence was correct. Santorum now is clearly a serious contender and should he be the nominee and win the Presidency, Rick Santorum could "theoretically" be President of the United States on January 19, 2021. That's a very dreamlike scenario for Phil, who knows like I know that eight years of a Santorum Presidency would alter America in ways not seen since the Reagan era of the 1980s.

Romney's losing it.

Much like the 1980s fit Reagan's ten-gallon hat style, the 2010s could become known as the Santorum era, where morals, economics and strong foreign policy altered America back to it's former glory.

80s hair returned between 2013 and 2021.

Will it happen? Odds are against it. But stranger things have happened before....
