He should be leading much more against Santorum...

People who would vote Republican in most of New York outside the city in the first place tend to be receptive to Santorum-style right-populism.

If the economy keeps up the trend, Obama might get 70% in NY.

I think the GOP has a floor of 35% or so in NY, so I doubt Obama could hit 70%. If he does, he will likely have one of the biggest blowouts in history.

Quinnipiac seems a little (R) friendly at the moment, huh?

Does anyone really think Santorum would do so much better than McCain did?

Make that outside the suburbs (and the Upper East Side), actually.

All right. Upstate, in general, is rather more likely to be Santorum Country than Romney Country (though I still think Obama wins most everything of importance east of the Finger Lakes against Rick; east of the Finger Lakes and north of the Tappan Zee, though, he's liable to annihilate Romney at this rate).

Nah, he hit a ceiling in NYC in 2008 due to his pro-bailout position. If it's Mitt, he won't improve on his 2008 margin unless it's a total landslide.
