My concern was the assumption that they had such a law. Perhaps you should contact their Prime Verin, or whatever he his called these days. If there isn't a special election procedure, he can just appoint some poor unfortunate sap to enter my chop shop. Eight is better than seven, anyday.

"Presumption" shouldn't enter into the equation at all. If such exists, there must be someone who knows about it.

Hawkeye, ILV, Kal, Lewis, etc etc. The usuall midwest suspects. PM them until someone gives back a clear answer.

lol, ah homelycooking you be glad you aren't in the Senate no more. Tongue

Now PM those idiots before I start impeachement proceedings. Evil

Frankly, your standard is a bit ridiculous. Tongue If a law exists, somebody had to pass it. Hawkeye has been Prime Verin for ages and thus if it passed since the relevant Constitutional Amendment allowing such was passed, then it would have had to pass through his glance at some point.  The Constitutional Amendment was passed only last year if I believe and therefore there isn't a very long window for such a change in regional polices to have been enacted.

Maybe you just want to hold a special election regardless of whether it is necessary or not, hmm? Tongue

By rulling out the possibility that such was created. For someting to exist, it must have materialized at some point. If you prove such a process didn't occur, you can prove non-existence. Tongue

SoFE Homelycooking,

At precisely 11:44 AM EST, the Senate of Atlasia assembled voted to expell from its membership, Mideast Regional Senator and Senate Dean MoPolitico. The vote was 9-0 in favor of expulsion on the grounds of innactivity exceeding 14 days. As per the OSPR, I am to alert you of this event so as to take measures to procure a replacement (basically you get to contact the Governor of the Mideast Tongue).

SoFE homelycooking,

Requesting confirmation as to the receiving of previous communique regarding the vacancy of the Mideast Senate seat and a status report on efforts to establish communications with appropriate officials in the said region for the purposes of commencing the processes necessary to fill said vacancy. Confirmation requested.

Why is it that we hold elections every two months and yet no one can ever remember the activity requirements? Tongue

The only real blank spot on the wiki is this year. The only change that I can recall from that period that is remotely connected to this was the change in registration requirements for the upteenth time.

SoFE homelycooking,

A vacancy has resulting in an At-Large Senate seat, as a result of the resignation of Senator Clarence earlier.

Regards;
Senator NC Yankee,
President Pro-Tempore.

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually don't like these formalities. Tongue

Very contestable. How do you end up with the decimals? OAM's vote, additionally, is incomprehensible so far as its intent is concerned.

Not at all, Simfan. His vote was as follows:

1 Snowstalker
2 Spamage
2 Speed of Sound
3 Ernest
4 NVGonzalez
5 Simfan

It's quite clear that between you and Spamage, he prefers the latter candidate. 2 < 5.

Besides, Ernest is right. Shame on me for not taking DST into consideration. I'll have to invalidate NCYankee's vote.

Considering the entirety of Article 1 makes no mention of DST at all, using it period, more or less during the transition of all times makes little sense. That is why the Senate operates as if DST doesn't exist at all. Tongue

What other activities would those be, Yankee?

This is supposed to be a family friendly forum, Marokai.

And therefore, the only way anyone on here would now, would be if they happened to have been in the right Mibbit chat back late last year. Wink

Now lets cease discussing my err yea in Homely's thread. Tongue

Mr. Secretary,

Earlier this evening, Senator Spamage (F-OR) resigned his At-Large Senate Seat #5, thus creating a vacancy and requiring a special election to fill said vacancy.

Mr. Secretary,

I have unfortunately (especially because of all the problems the disruptions will cause) been informed that Senator Oakvale (Something-CA) has resigned his Pacific Senate seat and that Sen Franzl (Something-ah VT was it? Ah who cares now) has resigned the #2 At-Large Senate seat.

Cheers,
Yankee
