I want to see a Paul-Gingrich debate. It would be neat to see Paul rip Newt on every question.

The AZ debate just became very important.

I hope it isn't the last one. Strangely there is one slated for Oregon for late March (and the day before the IL primary), even though Oregon's primary is actually in May.

I'd have loved to see a Newt Gingrich debate.

As in, a debate with Newt and three empty podiums.

this was a bad move for Mitt, but smart for Santorum.  Mitt needs debates in order to help resurrect Newt in order to the keep the anti-Romney vote split.  without a rise from Newt, Mitt is in trouble because there's a lot more antiRomney voters than proRomney voters

Newt's best debate performaces are when he can make it just him vs the moderator.

Newt's best debate performaces are when he can make it just him vs the moderator.

They could have had John King asking Newt, alone, questions for two hours. By the time it would be over, Newt's poll numbers would be up to 70% or something. And John King would be curled in in a corner rocking back and forth.

The debate on Tuesday is Gingrich's last chance.  If Gingrich rises, it is at Santorum's expense. If Gingrich falls flat, Santorum still needs to raise a boatload of funds before Super Tuesday, which is very unlikely if he loses Arizona and Michigan, but potentially possible if he wins Michigan. This is a win-win for Romney.

Yeah I know, I have no idea why they are holding a debate in Oregon. Latest news says it's still on track even after the cancelled March 1st debate: http://www.oregonlive.com/mapes/index.ssf/2012/02/oregon_republicans_say_portlan.html
