I think there's a good chance. If Santorum wins he shows he can beat Romney in a big state outspended. If Gingrich wins it can show (they only way this is possibly is winning the Feb debate) he's not only back in the game but will probably replace Santorum as a true viable Romney alternative. If Romney wins he finally proves he can win something.

That being said, I believe if Gingrich or Santorum win Ohio they will probably win the nomination (or the delegate count before it goes to  the convention)

Umm, how about just no?  I don't think any one state will determine the nominee at this point.

Super Tuesday is probably going to determine the nominee. Or California.

It will be interesting to see how Super Tuesday is covered and what is considered a win. Will it be most states, most delegates, or will some states be deemed more important. What if Santorum just wins two states but one of them is Ohio....is he the winner? Not really, but it could be spun that way.

Only for a Romney win in Ohio would be the tipping point. He will probably win the Northeast and California no matter how Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee goes. So Ohio would be essential for any other candidate, but would not tip the nomination for them, just keep them in the race.

Sorry, my computer automatically posted a previous answer from another poll which was "No Gingrich"
