Are you talking about Carl I. Hagen from Fremskrittspartiet (Progressives) getting a majority? Then no. No single party can get a majority in Norway and FPs integration stance gives them an image as bigots. As Premier? Also no. The rest of the Norwegian right/centre right-wing could not accept them heading a government.
Høyre might be pressured into accepting them as coalition partners, but would try hard to avoid it.

Yep, that's him.  What do you think about having Stoltenberg head the UN?

He would be excellent, but I doubt the next GS of the UN will be from Western Europe. Its Latin Americas or Eastern Europes turn. Norway already had a GS and Scandinavia has had two.  I am not a big fan of this rotation system, but I doubt they will stray from it.

Everything there is so political, pre-calculated, etc.  What really disturbs me is how the Papal elections are similar (Please excuse this rant, I'm an alterboy and thus able to do so Wink) in that many say that most likely the next Pope will be from Africa, most of the time the church alternates between progressive and conservative popes, even though the cardinals who elect the pope are also appointed by them.  Basically like if the Supreme court elected the president in America.  It is nearly inconceivable that an American Pope will be elected any time in the future as they tend to go for developing nations.  What ever happened to separation of church and state?  Same thing with all these multinational leaders; their leaders should be chosen based on merit and vision, not on some silly political balance requirements.  It's not like anyone pays attention to where Ban Ki-Moon is from or even who he is for that matter.  I'm willing to bet money that if you went up to a thousand people at random on the street, maybe fifty would know who he is, and that's my childhood hopefulness talking. I meant to say that they are looking at having the next pope from a developing nation, and I'm not sure what the economic state of Poland was in 1970s
