B- One of the most popular Republican politicians with independents, but has been out of office for too long, is controversial with the base, and can't help Santorum carry any states.

He'd be good, but he's only served 2 years as Governor. He'd make the Obama campaign work much harder in swingy Nevada.



Susan Collins

B+ - she's the more conservative of the "Ladies of Maine", and is sort of the anti-Palin in that she's got a long, well-regarded career in public service and no tendency toward gaffes. Not great geographically, though.
