Anvi, nice pic and well matched couple.  Where be ye?

Thanks, Patrick!  Smiley  That picture was actually taken at Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia (my girlfriend lives and works in Halifax).
That's quite the longdistance relationship, then?

Pisco sours make every pic a happy one, Patrick!  Nice!
Pisco is very nice.

Far too nice to mix. Though IIRC there's a difference between Chilene Pisco and Peruvian Pisco, which is what I'm familiar with.

Was that picture taken in the People's Republic of Poland or the Republic of Poland?

Well, I was born in 1988, so you need to check dates on wiki to be sure.
Discussion reminds me of a friend's Born in the GDR t-shirt... he was. In 1986.

So I went geocaching for the first time recently, and while I doubt I'll ever take it up seriously as a hobby it was a fun afternoon. Anyways, pics.

"Fox Van Allen"? What kind of corny-gay stage name is that?

I think that's a first. Why did you hide from us so long?

You look like an outtake from a modeling shoot.

That's exactly what it was.

For some reason I think you look like Tom Waits.

That's the second inaccurate statement you've made about Tom Waits this month.

Down @100 lbs/10 inches this morning in 8 months.  I am embarrassed that I let it get to that point but this gives me motivation to keep going.
Now I need a picture of you 8 months ago. To look at once and then apply brain bleach, probably, but I need to see it nonetheless. Smiley

Does the shirt indicate a return to the old avatar? Grin
What's this in reply to? Huh

"Naso" and "museum" does not belong in the same sentence.

He is in this pic. From his own point of view, anyhow, though not from yours.

I am sitting behind one of the Tuskegee Airmen
How many of them are still left?

It recently occurred to me that the end of the Vietnam War is now longer ago than the outbreak of WWII was when Vietnam ended.

And I hear many different numbers for the Airmen... this gentlemen told me about 200 are still living
That's quite a lot still, given how old they'd be and there were only about 840 in 1945 (ie the total number of men trained, a far-above-average number of whom were never sent overseas, minus their war dead).

And far fewer of those were actual pilots... the rest were mostly ground crew
Nah, that's the number of those who were pilots ( / bombardiers / navigators. Bomber plane crew members) or at least completed such training but weren't used.

If you include the Air Force's Black ground crews, that's far more people. (I also found, skimming the wikipedia article a second time, the sentence "no one knows how many of the original 996 pilots and about 15,000 ground personnel are still alive".)
