George Marcin Pulaski (1917-1999)
Born in Warsaw during the middle of World War I, George Pulaski seemed to be destined to live through trouble. Within two years of his birth, the 200 year dream of a revived Polish state came true as Poland declared her independence from Russia in 1918, and received official recognition at the Conference at Versailles in 1919.
I don't think a Polish boy was originally names "George". Jerzy, perhaps (which is Polish equivalent)?
Also, to say Poland declared independence from Russia is misguiding, considering that there were two other power controlling Polish territory: Germany and Austro-Hungary.
There was Soviet Russia, not Soviet Union at the time.
As Atlas-Pole-in-Chief, I must say that outside of the two minor corrections above, I'm really impressed with your work. Keep it coming
