No idea. Rudd would probably be better winning the next election, but Gillard winning would offer more stability.

Someone should get a compromise candidate IMO.

Or at least Simon Crean. Beazley is one of the last adult figures left in the left, and Crean deserves to at least contest an election.

Whichever one could've defeated Abbott sounds like the best suggestion.

I know my fiancee voted for Labor under Rudd and then when they dumped him for Gillard, she voted Green. So, her preferences obviously leaned to Rudd.

Rudd got kicked by those who new him best, his Labour colleagues, despite it constituting an incredible risk to their careers and party. That's how horrible he was... he puts on a nice face to the public sure, but his genuine personality is clearly awful.
