Lord it looks like we have some old dudes here. Voting in the 1972 primaries? Christ, I thought I was old.

In 1999 I registered to vote and registered as a Libertarian and have been there since. Nevertheless, Iowa has this silly ritual called a caucus and I wanted in on some of that. I have joined the Republicans three times to caucus and the Democrats once because I felt that my useless voice was in need of being heard. In 2000 I actually voted for Steve Forbes because he was a businessman and never held office. I thought it was cool that he decided to hop-scotch to  running for president. In 2004 I became a Democrat and went for Howard Dean. In 2008 and 2012 I joined the Republicans to caucus for Ron Paul and Paul actually won my precinct in 2012. I served as precinct captain for Paul in 2008 and 2012 so that win made me feel momentarily important. I am also serving as a delegate to the state convention for Paul but I do not really want to go since I will have to be a around a lot of Republicans from Pious Flatt and Odyssey and that is not something I want to do.
