Ok, I never watch racing. Never. But there was some explosion and Santorum's racer is in a surprising third place. My God...

Yes this is an accurate description of the run-up to the Iowa caucus.

About the number of states with Congressional redistricting.

No 49 tried to qualify.  NASCAR has an obsession with the number 43, so that's the number that starts every race in their top series, even at tracks where 43 cars don't fit.  (43 was the car number that Richard Petty used when he raced.)

Considering that the team Rick was able to sponsor often is a "start and park" team, third place would be astoundingly good if it holds up.

Has someone in this thread pointed out yet that this "sport" is terrible? Because this "sport" is terrible.

I like cars.  The explosions were just about the right size.

You know, in the 60s, if you showed Mitt Romney one square foot of any type of explosion, he could tell you the brand and model and so forth of the cars involved in the explosion. Of course, now with all the Japanese cars, he's not quite as good at it.

He loves the blood puddles, not just the big one in the middle of the track, but also the smaller ones scattered near the green as well.  There's just something magical about them.

My opening post should have gotten that point across.

There would probably be fewer crashes if the drivers didn't have to make all those left turns.
