I gave him a 2. His domestic policies sucked, but he does not deserve to be placed in the same category as FDR.

Why not? FDR just continued the job Lincoln and Wilson started.

The New Deal was way worse than anything Lincoln ever signed into law.

What did Wilson do?

Bono despises his "League of Nations."

Let's just forget that he was a founding father of free trade.

When I mean free trade, he was a propoanent of low tariffs on British goods, still revolutionary for 1900's America.

Yeah, I was gonna say, free trade had been around since long before Wilson - it was the principle which the British Empire was founded upon and a key tenet of British philosophy for over a century before Wilson came to power.

He joined war against Germany. If he hadn't done that, germany would've won, they'd settle with a chunk of the British's possessions in Africa, Hitler would never be more than a mediocre painter, Lenin wouldn't have been sent to Russia has a plague, and millions of lives would've been spared.

No, no, no, why don't you hate Wilson because he was a racist?  Or because he stomped all over civil liberties?

But, I digress, your opinion is pretty good.

It's not as if he knew that at the time. You can only blame someone for what he does with the information he has.

But yeah, he was a racist, and he stomped all over civil liberties.

It was even wrong back then. the US had nothing to do with europe's wars.

He was also the father of a good chunk of today's labor laws.

Didn't Germany provoke us by offering to help Mexico take back the land we acquired from them?

The Zimmerman Telegraph

that was obnly to be caried out if the United States delcared war on Germany, as explained by Zimmerman himself. Wilson used it as a tool to further his interventionist views

What's up with all the Lincoln-haters here? Anyways, I vote 5. Lincoln was one of the greatest presidents, if not the greatest.
