Sorry if this sounds incredibly hackish...

Has it been confirmed that those robocalls urging Democrats to vote for Santorum actually came from the Santorum camp (or an associated super PAC)?

They had the Santorum campaign disclaimer on the end of them.  If they'd been fraudulent, I think we would've heard a huge uproar by now.

The Santorum campaign confirmed that they really did robocall Democrats. I know it's stunning and obviously not a footnote...

Santorum's campaign admitted to them as soon as they were asked about them.

Were the robocalls only to Democrats?

It was a specific robocall only for targeted Democrats (did one of the unions leak a list of Democratic phone numbers to the Santorum campaign?). It even had a "labor" narrator with liberal rhetoric:

My father, a Republican, got one such call directed toward me as a Democrat. I was out of town most of the day at the end of a cross-country rail trip... and I chose to make an essentially meaningless vote in the Democratic primary to make political mischief on my part impossible.

I just asked. As an authoritarian populist, Rick Santorum scares me.

ah, okay. I wonder how too. But it was populist rather than liberal rhetoric. It's no surprise Santorum would go after union voters.

There is a company that sells voter data such as party registration, ethnicity, and gender.  I can't remember the name of it, but it is where PPP and most of the major polling companie[/flash]s get their data from.

As funny as it sounds, he's technically correct concerning delegates.  Paul would have the 2nd most if the race ended today.  However, if he keeps up his plodding pace, he has zero chance at getting anything resembling a plurality, much less a majority on the first round of balloting.

Santorum robocall to Democrats:

Hi.  This is Rick Santorum.  Vote for me.  You know Obama will make mincemeat out of me in November.  So why not make it easy on yourselves and give me the nomination, so Obama doesn't have to run against Romney who you know very well will beat your guy.

Thank you and have a nice day.

I'm Rick Santorum and I approve this message.
